Reminders
LifeLine 8 Nonprofit Management System
There are three kinds of reminders in the LifeLine System: system generated reminders, general reminders, and constituent reminders.
System generated reminders are generated by the LifeLine System to remind you of system related things that need to be attended to. These things include making a backup of your data, optimizing the system, and updating donation totals when your fiscal year changes.
General reminders are reminder that you enter for things that are not associated with a specific constituent, like a "Lunch with board" that you need to remember on a particular day.
Constituent reminders are attached to a specific constituent and remind you of something directly connected to that constituent.
Each time the LifeLine System is started the system checks the list of all Reminders that are now in the system to see if any reminders need to be presented for your review. Reminders are presented for your review if they are pending reminders. A pending reminder is any reminder that has not been marked as completed and is either due in the near future or is past due.
